There is anoccasional forced ad, but it also gives you a free upgrade for a random car, so its tolerable. its neat if you at least kind of like cars, and you'll be a little more at home if you at least know basics like what to expect in performance from a RX7 Turbo, versus a Chevy Subruban, difference between RWD/4WD, tire compounds, and other car basics. while there are no monsters or counterspells or lightning bolts, the game has some meta strategy to it. Winning races generally nets you more cars, cash, gold and xp. you can watch the races to see if you win or lose and get clues as to why, or you can skip to the end and see results of the whole match and collect any prizes. the goal is to min/max the matchups so you win the most races/by the largest margins. your human or ai opponent will have selected cars for each race, and you get to assign which of your cars youll use for each track. instead you pick 5 cars out your garage/deck, and are presented with a match of 5 races of various types, like 1/4 mile drag, twisty circuit, city streets, etc. you start with a few cars/cards and unlock more via a single player campaign and/or multiplayer. however the cars are in card form, sort of like baseball cards with stats on them. Its not a TCG like mtg or hearthstone, rather you manage a garage of race cars.
